I think this can only qualify as OMG MY EYES — there’s a fake tube train carriage that has been decorated in a style that can serve only one purpose — to burn the retinas in your eyeballs.

A pink tube train (c) Selfie Factory

Described as “the UK’s First Instagram Inspired Funhouse”, this is the latest desperate attempt to lure people into the huge empty void that is the O2 Icon shopping centre.

The three people behind the selfie-factory say that they have set up a series of rooms with the “backdrops that you frequently see in your feed”, so in theory, there are lots of people on Instagram taking photos in pink tube trains?

Should you need to spend 60 minutes in a pink tube train — then it’ll cost you £12 and you can book tickets here.

The train is not accessible to those with mobility needs.

SUPPORT THIS WEBSITE

This website has been running now for over a decade, and while advertising revenue contributes to funding the website, it doesn't cover the costs. That is why I have set up a facility with DonorBox where you can contribute to the costs of the website and time invested in writing and research for the news articles.

It's very similar to the way The Guardian and many smaller websites are now seeking to generate an income in the face of rising costs and declining advertising.

Whether it's a one-off donation or a regular giver, every additional support goes a long way to covering the running costs of this website, and keeping you regularly topped up doses of Londony news and facts.

If you like what you read on here, then please support the website here.

Thank you

This article was definitely written by an old, grumpy white man 🤷

    • Andrew Wilkinson says:

What on earth has the colour of the author got to do with it? How is that in any way relevant?

    • Sol says:

This young, black man agrees with the article. Or what, do you think it’s only non-white people that lap up this kind of trash? Pretty racist.

    • Darcus Azulu-Sarce says:

      Bit of a racist assumption!

She is right, ian (the author) is a an old grumpy white man. Look at the about page, it links to his twitter where you can see his profile picture. https://twitter.com/ianvisits/photo

I hate people who keep saying “racism” at every single chance they get. Chill guys.

Much more bright and cheery than the usual drab TfL moquettes! I approve, and demand this is implemented on the Hammersmith and City Line.

    (note: I don’t use the H+C Line)

Is that a real thing or just a replica of the 1996 Stock that the artist intended to decorate with pink things.

  5. Jason says:

Pink used to be a boy’s colour y’know.
Maybe not that shade of pink though.
